How much do you charge for a family portrait?

It depends on the amount of people you want to feature in the photograph which then determines an appropriate size for the finished portrait. There is a different price for each size. My prices range from $165 to $790. The photos are matted ready for framing. Your photographs are printed onto Kodak Professional Endura Premier paper. This ensures a life-time guarantee and beyond. The session fee is an extra charge. Does this price include the frame? The frame will cost you an extra $165 which includes non-reflective glass. (Click here to view frame selections.) We recommend a black frame which proves to be a classic, timeless option. If you don’t want a traditional framed portrait we can produce photographs on canvas in assorted sizes. What is included in the session fee?

It includes a pre-session consultation, the photography session (1-2 hours), post-session editing of photographs and the viewing of the photographs by means of a slideshow.

Do you do passport photos?

Yes, we produce passport photos for Australian and International passports. The same photos can be used for work ID's.Once we take your photograph, it will be ready within 30 min. Handy Hint: A good time to have your photo taken is after a visit to the hairdressers/barber! Do you take passport photos for babies and small children? Face Photography can also take photographs of babies and children who need a passport photo. Just advise us when you make your booking and we will prepare the back drop.

Can you stamp the passport photo? If your international passport photo needs to be verified by the photographer. Face Photography can provide an official stamping with detail, for sample the Canadian Passport Photos.

What do passport cost? Passport photo are at affordable price, payment can be made by EFTPOS, Cash.

Do you have a studio?

We have a studio for passport photos, individual business portraits, maternity and baby sessions and evidence photography for personal injuries. For larger/family shoots, we recommend going to outdoor locations or using another indoor setting, even the clients’ homes.

What suggestions/ideas for (occasion) do you have?

For example, if you’re planning a 50th wedding anniversary celebration, we take photos before the party or during the gathering. During our consultation, you can view my gallery and a slideshow of my work. This will give you some ideas. We can discuss your preferences and go from there.

Are the files included in the price?

The digital files are not included in my quotes. These incur an extra charge which also releases the copyright to you.

Depending on the occasion and your preferences, we can suggest many locations-both indoor and outdoor. Face Photography’s favourite outdoor locations are: -Your Home -Adelaide Beaches -Recreation Parks -Botanical Gardens -Adelaide City -Charming old buildings, iconic landmarks and nature itself provide ideal settings for individual and group portraits.

Do you provide make-up and hairstyling services?

We advise clients to seek professionals in these fields. We endorse the fact that wearing make up will produce a better image.

What time of the day is best for outdoor photography?

A bright, sunny part of the day is a nightmare for a photographer! After sunrise and just before sunset, depending on the season, is an ideal time to get some great photos. Anytime in winter is perfect too as the light is generally dull.

Do you photoshop every photo?

Just like decorating a room, the photoshop process is all about achieving balance and appeal. The aim is to produce the best visual result for each photograph. Every shot taken is viewed, cropped, colour-corrected and adjusted for contrast and brightness.

Why do you use inches instead of centimetres in your quotes?

Our professional printers and framers use Imperial measurements so for the sake of accuracy and consistency, we all use the same language/system.

How do I prepare for my holiday family portrait?

When families get together, it’s an opportunity to take a memorable family portrait. Proper preparation is essential. 1 | Plan Your Photo Shoot. This step is a lot of fun. Do you want to use props? Shoot the photo outside? Are you going to a location you’ve never been to before? Your photographer can give you extra ideas too. 2 | Book A Date ASAP. Speak to your family first and lock in a date that you’re all free then let your photographer know. The time of day and location is important because of lighting. 3 | Involve Your Kids. Start talking to your children about the photo shoot. By involving them, you’re including them in the process, so they’ll be excited for the photo shoot. 4 | Coordinate Clothing. Think about the feel of this family portrait and how you’ll be using it. Will you frame a print to hang above your mantel? Will this be a serious, silly, or natural photo? You can start to plan what everyone will wear based on the style you have chosen. 5 | Plan the Day. Arrive early so that you’ll not feel rushed during the photo session. Dress for the weather, eat before you come, and remember that kids will be kids. Try to go to a hairdresser the day before.
